The most honest text in your whole conversation is the one that never arrived. “Read 11:42pm — no reply” is not a glitch or a busy night. Over a whole thread, silence has a shape, and the shape means something.
One silence vs. a pattern
A single unanswered text is noise. People fall asleep, get slammed at work, mean to reply and don’t. Read nothing into one gap.
A pattern is signal. If the replies keep getting slower, shorter, and later — and the fast, long ones only come when you send something they want — that’s not a scheduling problem. That’s interest, tracked over time, going down.
